Prof. Univ. Dr. Petru Ifteni

Prof. dr. Petru Ifteni is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy „Gr. T. Popa "Iași, class of 1999 and of the Transilvania University of Brașov, Faculty of Economics and business administration, class of 2011. He is the head of the 3rd Clinical Department of the Clinical Hospital of Psychiatry and Neurology Brașov. Since 2015 he is Vice Dean with Research and Internationalization of the Faculty of Medicine within the Transilvania University of Brașov He is a member of the Senate of the Transilvania University of Brașov.

He obtained the title of doctor in medical sciences in 2010 at UMF „Gr. T. Popa ”Iași on the topic of depression. Since 2018 he is affiliated to the Doctoral School of the Transylvanian University of Brașov. Between 2021 and 2022 he was the Manager of the Clinical Hospital of Psychiatry and Neurology Brașov.

Prof. dr. Petru Ifteni is the author and co-author of 5 specialized volumes and over 70 scientific papers published in the country and abroad. Research in psychiatry has led to the publication of more than 30 ISI Thomson-Reuters indexed articles, many in well-known journals such as Schizophrenia Research, Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, CNS Drugs, American Journal of Therapeutics, Psychiatric Quarterly and Journal of Affective Disorders.

He has participated as a speaker at the World Psychiatric Congress, the ECNP and the EPA, as well as numerous national events dedicated to schizophrenia, cognitive impairment and emotional disorders.
