Bogdan-Ionel Tamba is Professor of Pharmacology at the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași and CEO of the Advanced Center for Experimental Medicine (CEMEX).

His academic and research activity focuses on translational pharmacology, neuropsychopharmacology, pain mechanisms, and experimental models relevant to central nervous system disorders. He has extensive expertise in preclinical research, biomarker-driven pharmacology, and the ethical and methodological foundations of experimental medicine.

Prof. Tamba coordinates multiple national and European research projects and serves as a mentor for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in the fields of neuroscience and clinical pharmacology. He is the author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and is actively involved in bridging preclinical discovery with clinically meaningful outcomes in psychiatry and related disciplines
