Prof. dr. Laura Shields-Zeeman is the Head of Public Mental Health at the Trimbos Institute (Netherlands Institute for Mental Health and Addiction) and Endowed Professor in Population Mental Health at the University of Utrecht. She serves as WHO National Technical Focal Point for Mental Health for the Netherlands and is Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre on Mental Health Services and Interventions over the Life course. She has been involved in the coordination of and participation in many international and national projects and policy initiatives focused on mental health and wellbeing. She has expertise in systematic appraisal of evidence-based practices in health care, design and evaluation of integrated mental health and social care programs and implementation & evaluation of mental health practices in Central, Southern and Eastern Europe as well as in North America and South Asia.
