Asist. Prof. Dr. Luís Madeira

Asist. Prof. Dr. Luís Madeira develops his career in four synchronous strands. He is a Psychiatrist, graduated in Medicine from the University of Lisbon in 2008, specialist in 2015 working at the Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte (CHLN) and Hospital CUF Descobertas and the President Elect of the Portuguese Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health. He holds a Masters Degree in Philosophy from the University of Central Lancashire, a PhD in the area of Philosophy of Psychiatry (University of Lisbon) and an MBA in Management (Catholic University) being an Assistant Professor of Medical Ethics and Deontology and of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and sub-coordinator of Psychiatry and Mental Health in the Catholic University of Lisbon. He is a member of the board in the National Committee of Ethics for the Life Sciences - the national body responsible for decision-making at the highest level in Portugal. Lastly, he is also a fully accredited Psychotherapist in the Portuguese Society for Client-Centred Psychotherapy and Person-Centred Approach.
