Dr. Jorge Mota

Dr. Jorge Mota is currently a psychiatrist of Hospital Magalhães Lemos Porto with extensive experience in the electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation.

He is Coordinator of the Department of Electroconvulsive Therapy - Hospital de Magalhães Lemos, Porto, the Vice President and founding member  of Portuguese Society for Electroconvulsive Therapy,  a member of Mensa International  and a training advisor for interns of Psychiatry, Neurology and General Practitioners.

He graduated from the Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute,University of Porto and attended several training courses such as the 2nd International Course on Electroconvulsive Therapy, Advance Life Support (EAD) , Pedagogical Training of Trainer,  has a certification in Hipnotherapy and participated in numerous national and international events, publishing articles on topics of interest such as psychosis, major depressive disorder, electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation .

In 2019 he was a member of the scientific committees such The First Congress of Psychiatry of Hospital Magalhães Lemos and the First National Encounter of Neurostimulation, Porto, Portugal.
